This website is operated by Ashik N M, a freelance Full-Stack Developer based in Bangalore, India (ashikagumbe.com). References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Ashik N M.

We collect information in the following ways:

• Contact form: name, email address, and message content when you reach out to us.
• Referral requests: if you ask for a job referral through our referral form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, current location, years of experience, primary skills, the role you are applying for, the supporting note you write, and your resume — either as a link you provide or as a PDF you upload. Pronouns are optional and used only so we refer to you correctly.
• Payment information: when you pay for services or products, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card number or full payment details — Razorpay handles this directly.
• Usage data: pages visited, browser type, and general location (country/city) may be collected automatically to improve site performance.
• Cookies: see our Cookie Policy for details.

• To respond to enquiries and deliver agreed services.
• To process payments and issue receipts.
• To fulfil legal and tax obligations under Indian law.
• To improve site content and performance.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

Referral requests are handled differently from other enquiries, because the whole purpose of the form is to pass your details to someone else. We want to be exact about what that means.

• What we do with it: your submission is reviewed manually. If we decide to refer you, the details you provided — including your resume — are sent to the internal referral team at our employer for the role you named. Nothing is sent automatically, and nothing is sent without that review.
• If we do not refer you: your details are not forwarded to anyone. They remain only with us until they are deleted.
• Where it is stored: in a private database hosted by Neon in Singapore. Uploaded resumes are stored in that database rather than in public file storage, and are not reachable by URL.
• How long we keep it: referral requests and any uploaded resume are deleted automatically 90 days after submission. This runs on a daily schedule; it is not a manual promise.
• What we never do: we do not use referral submissions for marketing, do not add you to any mailing list, and do not share your details with recruiters, agencies, or anyone outside the referral team described above.

You can ask us to delete your referral request at any time, before the 90 days are up, by emailing ashikagumbe@gmail.com.

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Razorpay — payment processing. razorpay.com/privacy
• Vercel — website hosting and edge delivery.
• Neon — managed PostgreSQL database (Singapore region), where referral requests and uploaded resumes are stored. neon.tech/privacy-policy
• Resend — transactional email delivery for contact form notifications and sign-in codes. resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Groq — AI inference for the portfolio terminal feature. No personally identifiable information is sent to Groq.

• Contact enquiries are retained for up to 2 years.
• Referral requests, including any uploaded resume, are deleted automatically 90 days after submission, or sooner if you ask.
• Transaction and invoice records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax regulations.
• You may request deletion of your data at any time (subject to legal retention requirements).

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data, where no legal obligation requires us to retain it.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. All payment data is encrypted and handled exclusively by Razorpay via TLS. No payment card data ever touches our servers.

This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules thereunder. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
